Our Students’ Performances at the Mzansi Tournament in Port Elizabeth

We are incredibly proud of our students who represented us at the Mzansi Tournament held in Port Elizabeth.

Layla competed for the U7 B Team on board one and delivered an outstanding performance, scoring an impressive 4/6. She also took part in the individual section, where she achieved a solid 3/6. Layla thoroughly enjoyed the experience—especially making new friends—and is already looking forward to upcoming competitions.

Sebastian participated in a national tournament for the very first time, facing strong opposition throughout. While adjusting to the time control proved challenging, he demonstrated great resilience by securing a well-earned win in round two and finishing the tournament with two solid draws in the final rounds.

Zara delivered an exceptional performance, scoring 5.5/6 in the team event and helping her team secure second place overall. She continued her excellent form in the individual section, scoring 5/6 and finishing 5th overall—an outstanding achievement.

We are extremely proud of all our students for their hard work, determination, and sportsmanship. Well done to Layla, Sebastian, and Zara on their fantastic performances!
